How will 2006 compare to 2005 in the Bluegrass???

In AAA I think the Birds will be as strong as any team in the state. They started a ton of Sophs and Juniors last year. HHS will be loaded on both sides of the ball. I believe it will be Highlands and Bowling Green in the finals with the Birds taking home the hardware. "GO BIRDS":ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Rockcastle will be loaded, especially on the line this season. 3A could have some very strong teams in 2006!

I expect to see some huge upsets in the playoffs and alot of upset fans. Good games and great traditions. More D-1 recruits.

Upsets? Such as?

I think we'll see Trinity's offense gear up even more with the return of Coach Coverdale.

If this is the case, we'll learn a lot about the X men early in the year as the Tigers play at BG then play HHS at PBS a couple of weeks later. Should be a great test :ylsuper:

As far as AAA goes I think the Rock has the biggest chances hands down!!! Even though they have a big team doesn't mean they won't meet some challanges along the way. Bowling Green, Highlands, Lex Cath, Bell, Boyle and many more are gonna have great teams in '06. All this talk is just getting me all excited and amped up for the '06 season. I CAN'T WAIT TILL KICKOFF!!!

Interesting.

What you say is usually true on paper the past few years. However the Rebels seem to play better on the field come crunch time. I know a number of fans looks to the defeat of Trinity as a milestone in Dixie's development, yet once again Boone came out of NKY 4A. Boone County is the "Big One" in NKY 4A football.

I respectfully have a different opinion, and a MudBowl will not chage it.:D

Ummmm, probably not!

X has a new starting 11 on defense and it will take some time for them to gel, but early word makes me think your scenario probably isn't likely.True, BG and HHS have a lot of returning talent but don't underestimate the talent the Tigers will put on the field come August. Then, when they do really gel at playoff time, the fun begins.

Each year that I have paid attention to high school football in Kentucky it has improved and I look for that trend to continue this season.

More than likely. These, including T in that early span, are seasoned at key positions. They will gel, but don't expect last years reg. season results this year.

I'm not saying I expect an ...wait, I'm always expecting an undefeated season:D ...but I just don't see them getting swept by BG andHHS. Those two plus T are a really tough trio, probably a loss in there somewhere. Even if they have not jelled, talent who got good reps last year and coaching will show up early. A early loss to one of those programs would teach the Tigers a lot about what needs to be done to be there on the last day. It's all about the journey. Learning is a season-long process.
