I think he had the 2 endzone INT's.

He had two picks, one was in the end zone, the other was a pick six called back on the return.

Best tackle of the night goes to Padget, NCC punt return Smith one guy to beat tries to juke Padget....no dice. Awesome open field one on one tackle, wrapped him up both arms, picture perfect! I don't think many "tackles" on Smith in the open field, they may trip him or grab an ankle.

NewCath's offense is back on track

Havent seen Danville enough..but watching Pburg vs. Shelby Valley game and neither team plays within 5 TDs of NewCath

Plus I don't think NCC scored on that drive.

Here's a strategy I never understand.

NCC scored with 7/10 of a second left.

Isaiah Ebarb is one of the best kick returners in NKY.

Why kick off to him? With less than a second just onside kick it. The scramble for the ball will run out the clock AND you don't have to worry about it being returned.

Instead, Ebarb brought it back inside NCC territory.

The difference in the game was after NCC last Td. Down 5 they decided to kick extra point. Then under 2 minutes 4th and goal from 5 they have to go for the TD. Didn't get it. Lost by 4. Ugh!

Yeah, those automatic two pointers are hard to pass up.

Being down 4 or 5 does not make difference.

Great point. There is no question they should have gone for 2 points. If it had been sucessful they kick easy field goal at the end of the game to go to overtime. If the 2-pointer is not sucessful they still win witha TD at the end. Down 4 or 5 makes no difference.

A 6A football team should wipe out a 2A football team, not hang on for the win.

Sorry G ... going to disagree with you on that one. A top 6A team should wipe out a 2A team. But a top 5 2A team should be able to play with most 6A teams.

You missed post 14.

And let's not pretend here, if a 2A team is playing with you, you have no chance in 6A, that is the point.

It's the only class I think you can definitively say that for...but it is a true statement that can hardly be argued with.

He had the first one. #28 Warwick had the second one.

Sounds like it was Manning and not Warwick with the pick in the 4th quarter.

Never trust the PA guy.

Cougars have 10 picks this year.

It was a "tough" win for the Cougars, but we will take it. Like most teams we are getting better every week. Not saying we are a top contender, but do see us getting better week in and week out. 4-1 is way better than where we were this time last year. Shout out to #75 Joshua Walls. Sophomore Center getting his first start in this game. Additional shout outs to #2 #4 #76 and #23. All contributed to this win.
