I would have thought they would be much higher in Ks (with Bruce) and GIDP (with Frazier). Would have thought they would be higher in 2B playing in GAPB.
September 21, 201510 yr 9 of those categories we are 9 or worse, ouch.. 12th in K's... If you were to take Votto out of that line up we would be 15th in a lot of categories. He is having a monster year.

On a side note, with regards to the K's...Votto has struck out nearly twice as much as Phillips. Never would've figured there would've been that much disparity.

September 22, 201510 yr Give you a quick example of what I am talking about with the big 3, that being Hamilton, Bruce and Frazier. Last night against Cardinals first inning, I know, I know I am still watching them. Votto and Phillips on second and third, that has happened a lot this year. Phillips who people on here say trade, is batting around 290, and 300 with RISP, Votto batting 317 and around 300 with RISP. Guess what clowns are up next, your 2 boys who will hit 30-40 meaningless HR's and not crack a 100 RBI. They strikeout as always, and we get 1 run out of the deal thanks to Phillips. We lose 2-1, and never threaten again, been the Reds deal for the last 4 years. Trade Frazier and Bruce, find guys that get on base, with our young pitching coming up and lots of arms to deal we could re-do this organization the right way. Get the right manager in there and in 2-3 years we could turn the page.

Just goes to show perception is not always reality. It seems like a lot of strike outs because we see the majority of Reds games, we don't see all these other teams. The Cubs for example have struck out I believe 200 more times than the Reds. The Reds biggest problem as others have mentioned is not getting the hits when it matters most, and that is when people are in scoring position.
