Quintin Baker - Ashland

Baker has been amazing this season, he has to be one of the front runners. I've followed him his entire high school career, but he's turned it up a notch this year.

In 4 games Baker has only played 4 quarters 1 time against GW. Played 3 against Raceland 2-1/2 against Russell and 3 against Ironton. Imagine the stats he would have playing full games.

The beauty of it all, is with the exception of GW, Ashland hasn't needed him to olayvfour quarters. GW went on to score 87 the following week Ashland played them. Just sayin..

Not to take away from Baker's season but the same can be said for a lot of candidates. I'd love to see Josiah Robbins' stats if he played 4 quarters for all five Boyle County games.

Top D1 prospect has little to do with the argument for Daniel

 

425 rush yards and 10 TD's

484 passing yards and 5 TD's

64 Tackles

 

 

Not to mention with Daniel Paintsville is the #2 team in the State in their class and undefeated (#1 in the AP Poll)... just a few years ago this was a team struggling to win 3 games.

 

Thusfar Robbin's is the MVP of 3A...but noone means more to their team statewide and is as "un-replaceable" as Kash Daniel is for Paintsville.

 

You take Robbins off Boyle and they are probably 4-1... you take Daniel off Paintsville and they probably are 2-3.

I don't know enough about HS football to say who I think should win, but I do believe the award is Kash Daniel's to lose.

I disagree completely, you take a kid away from Boyle who has been starting since his sophomore year, and is the QB of the number 1 team in 3A and you think they beat 6a Central Hardin, or a talented Danville team, or even this Anderson county team? I think that is just an absurd statement to be quite honest.

 

If you go by numbers alone Robbins numbers trump Daniels in everything but tackles, he has more passing yards than Daniels has yards combined. 6:1 TD to INT ratio, and on defense he has 3 interceptions.

Yes I do... I think they lose to Central Hardin but beat the other two because Boyle County is a much better team overall.

 

Even without Robbins Boyle is one of the three best 3A teams.

I think without him their chances decrease...but I would still consider them the best team in the West.
