Judge Forces Woman to Complete Christian Counseling to Keep Custody of Kids

 

She did stay the course, but not before having to fill out questionnaires titled "What is God to Me?" and having the counselor insist that despite the fact that Holly didn't believe in God, she actually did and was just confused. And of course there's the small fact that Pepper chose to take cash literally under the table because her counseling racket, which she executes at the public library, is actually super-duper illegal.

 

Kinda flies in the face of separation of church and state, doesn't it? Not sure how a judge can legally force religion on someone...

It's irritating when judges do stuff like this, but it's hard to stop it. The order would be swiftly overturned on appeal on abuse of discretion grounds but who knows how long that's going to take.

Couldn't get into the link but I would sure investigate if there is a link between the judge and the so called counselor with kickbacks or something. Both need to lose their jobs.

In Jefferson County all of the STATE MANDATED Divorce Family In Transition courses are held in sacred (Christian) places.

 

All types of religions represented when I went. The moderator was a Christian preacher.

Too bad she's not gay. The judge could also order her into a gay conversion therapy program.

I agree if the lady didn't want to attend because it went against what she believed she should not have been made to by a judge. Oh wait we are not talking about Kim Davis......and dont go editing your posts for how this looks.
