This isn't true. Not only is it possible and done frequently (like Jim said different varieties are marketed by potency and effect in legal shops), it's the law in Oregon to measure and label the potency by THC content before sale.

I wasn't aware they were selling pot classified by THC content , I've only seen it in baskets by where its grown or street slang name . Anyway , If , If they are accurately labeling the product its a step in the right direction. If they are not then how do you know the strength from one joint to the next ?

I think you are both right.

 

Either way, you don't ban something from a whole society because some/few people have issues with it. You single out those few people and you help them. Maybe for those people pot or alcohol or cigarettes etc can't be for them and they have to be the ones to realize and deal with it WITH the establishments help.

Disagree. You're spending millions upon millions (probably billions really) on prevention that isn't working, and then you're still left with treating the addicts. Waste of money.

 

Legalize it, tax the crap out of it, and come up with a way to test "intoxication levels" such as is done with alcohol.

How do you feel about giving amphetamines to children because they can't focus in school whem they are as young as 8? I have a hard time believing that 40 mg Adderall XR for an 8 year old is any better.

Amen to that. Substance abuse is real. Expanding the DUI roster isn't going to make the roads safer.

I've stated it many times arguments on both sides are silly. We all know the medical argument is silly except for a small minority of patients. A majority of people who have a medical card have it for recreational use. But I'm fine with that.

 

Obviously Marijuana has some negative health affects it isn't the wonder drug some would have you to believe.

 

But at the same time it isn't very dangerous either and grown adults should have the right to use it. It's silly in a free society to restrict consumption of grown adults.
