Didn't have a phone, so I had to walk to friend's houses just to see if they were home. Putting baseball cards in the bike spokes. Taking a penny to the corner store and getting a fist full of candy. When gas finally reached $1 and being outraged that it was so high.

When her small daughter said "mommy that man is singing Jimmy Buffet's song" the mother replied "no honey, Jimmy Buffet sings that man's song". I gave her a thumbs up.

One time I saved all my bottles 'til I had quite a few and then redeemed them for 5 cents apiece only to find that about two weeks later the return rate had been raised to 10 cents a bottle. :ohbrother: :rage: :down: :banghead: :arghh: :sour: :( :cry:
