I am a Ryle fan so my heart says Ryle. But I was just wondering why two BGP rankings would have have them flip flopped.

Trinity and Male had two classics last year. 3 OTs in two games and back and forth in each game. It's a shame that the 6A championship has to be played weeks before the final in Bowling Green. You would think the KHSAA would figure that out but they want the teams out in the state to have a change (Dixie and Meade) but as we found out last year those teams have little chance.

Considering Meade lost to Scott County (sorry but the fumble always plays in my mind) we found out "those teams" do have a chance.

 

And if you break up Trinity, Male, and X putting at least one of the three on each side of the 6A bracket the other 6A coaches are going to scream bloody murder. They certainly are not going to be willing to give up the gain they made a few years back when the KHSAA created the super Louisville District.

Wow, Lafayette is not even in the mix? I thought they were the one out of central KY that can really push the Louisville or the Northern KY school. Just imagine all that talent/ D1 on that roster. Its early though, they might make a push.

With all do respect, a week ago everyone said, "No one in Kentucky is going to beat Trinity".

 

It was mostly people outside the fanbase saying that. The Trinity faithful thought we would win, but almost everyone admitted that Male was capable of beating us.

I certainly fell into the Trinity trap...if you don't come from a historical powerhouse program (Trinity, Highlands, Mayfield,...) you could have a tendency to give them the nod even with some information to the contrary.

I understand what everyone is saying about "Male could have won", but I think we all know after Trinity's first three games, the Rock faithful thought they would win against Male. And I think anyone that says they thought Male would win (other then Male fans) is being a little less then honest.

Does anyone know how the playoff bracket lays out this year? Would St. X & Male most likely play in the second round this year? Just curious, Trinity played at Male in the second round last year but they were in the same district, not the case this year. I thought there was a post about the bracket this year but i can't seem to find it, thanks!

I think we are playing semantics here. Since we are in the conversation here: You thought Trinity would beat Male. You knew Trinity has already beaten two National Ranked teams. And, we can extrapolate some information here, if you knew Trinity had beaten two Nationally ranked teams, and the next best team in the state, Male, who else do you think in the state of Kentucky would beat Trinity?

First.

Trinity and Scott County need to take a back seat to SK!!!! Both their defenses gave up to many points!!!

 

Scott Co. has given up 94 points, 31 to Pulaski Co. Defending State 5A champs, 28 to Highlands who always as powerful offense and 35 to Cincinnati Elder who is always ranked in the nation. Trinity has given up 69 points, 13 to Brentwood another team always ranked in the nation, 14 to Lafeyette ranked in the top's in the state and 42 to Male (now that one shocked me, score that is). SK has given up 66 points and if my calculations are right that is only 3 points less than Trinity. SK has a good Team but don't think that make their Defense better than Trinity's. I would put SK ahead of Scott Co. but not Trinity.
