Trinity and Scott County need to take a back seat to SK!!!! Both their defenses gave up to many points!!!

Trinity gave 42 and Scott County gave up 35 giving up way to many points to compete with SK!!!! Both teams are suspect!!!!

Both played good teams. SK has yet to play a good team that could even come close to challenging for a 6A title in KY.

 

1) Gave up 7 to Dixie Heights: A team that was devastated by graduation and is still winless.

 

2) 0 to Conner: They have a winning record but as shown in 2014, 2008, 2006 just against Trinity alone winning in NKY 6A doesn't really mean much. You need a marquee win against a team that is proven.

 

3) Gave up 23 to 2A CAL: Sorry but no team who is having pretensions of winning the 6A title should give up that much to a 2A school with a freshman QB nor should they be have been in contention that late in the game.

 

4) Gave up 36 to Bryan Station: Unfortunately Lexington 6A is not relevant and has not been in the grand scheme of things for a while.

 

While T gave up 42 to Male prior to that game the defense had given up a total of 13 points as both of Lafayette's TDs came on kickoff returns. So if we add up what T's D gave up all season and SK's gave up all season that leaves T's defense giving up 55 points on defense to SK's giving up 66 on defense. I don't think anyone rational would compare any of SKs opponents to Trinity's with the exception of BS and Lafayette which I would say are a wash because neither are particularly impressive.

 

 

SK is a pretender until they win something big or come close to it. You need to come to grips with that reality. If they come up against Male or T in the title game it will likely not be pretty.

I think the top 6 are spot on, but I would have Manual & X tied for 5th until they play each other.

SK has to score at least 1 point in 20+ quarters of head-to-head action before they even think about riding in the same car (let alone the front seat) as T.

In a practice. :lol2: It's like saying "We kicked your patoot in two hand touch!" Besides X seems as up and down inconsistent as Central this so it is going to be hard to gauge them no matter what.

 

Male has dominated everyone they have played all season, T included. T has dominated everyone except Male. In a rematch I would like the Rocks' chances because the T staff has shown the ability to adapt, game plan, and overcome deficits to win in big games that truly matter.

 

With that said, Male is going to be tough for anyone since they have size, speed,excellent coaching and will have played a good schedule. SK really doesn't have much of a schedule to write home about. Outside of Cooper (who got blanked by a Lexington school), Ryle, BS and a HHS team that definitely doesn't look like themselves SK has no one to write home about.

 

If SK doesn't make it to the finals undefeated it should be marked as a wasted season considering the fact that they have what equates to a kiddie pool to wade through to get there.

 

If T doesn't make it, it will be because of Male and if that is the case then you can rest assured that Male will make sure we stop hearing about the one time SK beat them.

No one in KY is going to beat Trinity or Male and that is not a knock on any of the other teams in 6A there are some good teams like SC, SK, BS but Trinity and Male are just at higher level than any Kentucky teams. I wish they seeded 6A so we could see a Trinity/Male final just like the one back in the day which was one of the best HS games I ever saw.

The Power Rankings are a totally separate thing. These are the "Bluegrasspreps Rankings".

Cooper's big loss to Bryan Station is what's holding them out of the rankings. Whether or not they make it back in depends on how they do against Ryle and SK.

SK will have to beat Scott County to get there which would be quite the feat for the program. If y'all win I quite look forward to the finals. The threads alone would make it worth it.

I saw quite a few Trinity fans say that Male was capable of beating them. Did most people vote T, sure. However I think the popular concensus was that Male was always capable of winning that game and they did. I do not believe there to be another Male in the commonwealth. I see T and Male unbeaten until they meet again.
