September 11, 201511 yr ESPN reporting they have come to a long term extension. 6o Mil. over 4 years.
September 11, 201511 yr Sounds like it's right in line with the other top receivers signed recently although I haven't heard anything on guaranteed money.
September 11, 201511 yr Wasn't Thomas & Dez getting 4 years and $70 million? In my opinion, it sounds about right that he's making a little less than them.
September 11, 201511 yr I am so happy for AJ. Hopefully we all look back four years from now and say this is one of the best decisions the Bengals have ever made.
September 11, 201511 yr Wasn't Thomas & Dez getting 4 years and $70 million? In my opinion, it sounds about right that he's making a little less than them. What I saw was 5 and 70 or 71 for them, I may have misread it.
September 11, 201511 yr Guaranteed $ is all that really matters. I'm guessing those figures aren't out yet?
September 11, 201511 yr From PFT: The Enquirer report said Green will get more money, sooner, and on average make more per year than fellow receivers Dez Bryant, Julio Jones and Demayrius Thomas, all of whom recently signed contracts in the neighborhood of $70 million over five years. PFT has confirmed that a key negotiating point was the Bengals not guaranteeing money past the first year, making the duration of the deal key to Green’s representatives. He signed a four-year extension worth $60 million that puts his total contract in that five-year, $70 million range; settling on a four-year deal, not five, helped the sides get the contract finalized.
September 11, 201511 yr I believe I read where 47M guaranteed with 35M of that in the 1st 6 months. Typical Bengals deal in distributing the cash. Big difference in his is it is 4 years and theirs are 5 years.
September 12, 201511 yr Good deal. The Bengals have shown over the last few years now that we can feel confident for once in the Bengals management locking up our own talent. Overall as organization they run things pretty well now.
September 13, 201511 yr Wasn't Thomas & Dez getting 4 years and $70 million? In my opinion, it sounds about right that he's making a little less than them. No. The other 3 had 5 year deals.
