September 11, 201511 yr Pick any year from 1964 through 73. Post-WW2 had some good sounds, too. I have ALWAYS said that you can give me those ten years and everybody else can have the rest.
September 11, 201511 yr One of my favorite Buffett songs was from '74 ("Come Monday"). And don't forget Gord's golden hit "Sundown." Great tune. One of my Jimmy favs, too.
September 11, 201511 yr 1971 - Junior in high school, brings back lots of memories. I think this is the same for everyone (Jr./Sr. year of HS), at least for me it is.
September 11, 201511 yr I think this is the same for everyone (Jr./Sr. year of HS), at least for me it is. You know the deal here. I can remember those days like yesterday, but I can't find my dadgum keys most of the time.
September 11, 201511 yr The second and third digits are reversed, correct? I agree Brother...1996 was a beyond magical year for music... 1996 was a great year for music. "Odelay," "Aenima," "Sublime," "All Eyez On Me," PJ's "No Code," Rage's "Evil Empire," the Fugees record, "ATLiens," Wilco's second record, a great Tori Amos record, Fiona Apple's incredible debut, AIC doing MTV Unplugged, STP's "Tiny Music …" record, Gillian Welch's "Revival," and that's just scratching the surface. But the best was the mighty Afghan Whigs' "Black Love," an historically underrated album that was buried in the dustbin by bad marketing on the part of the record label. I'd listen to this record every day from front to back if I had the time.
September 11, 201511 yr I can't narrow it down to a specific year, but the Motown era was my favorite. The 1974 compilation is good.
