Science Friction
1974 ....WITHOUT A DOUBT !!!! I was 11 yo that summer and I kept a radio to my ear(AM dial back then). Take a few minutes and listen to this compilation from '74 and see if you agree. What were your favorites from this great year of music?
Mack The Knife
Definitely my favorite year. My buddy turned 16 in May and I would be 15 in July. He had a VW bus we cruised town in and had all those great tunes on AM radio. A few of my faves that don't get much airplay any more are Johnny Bristol's "Hang On In There Baby", Clap For The Wolfman" by The Guess Who and George McRae's "Rock Your Baby". I could go on and on. This song made my little sis cry. My mom's name is Billie and sis would cry wanting mom if she was away. Science Friction
One of my favorite Buffett songs was from '74 ("Come Monday"). And don't forget Gord's golden hit "Sundown."
Mack The Knife
The first time I ever listened to Casey Kasem was the first Saturday in January. Jim Croce's "Time In A Bottle" was #1 . I thought what a great gig this guy has.

Science Friction
How about Sweet Desolation Boulevard... Fox on the Run. If you liked" Foxy" by The Sweet , you probably liked this one that came later too: Some great guitar rifts in this classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV3mzluqHig&feature=player_detailpage
