Should Israel launch a preemptive strike against Iran?

Featured Replies

Are we and Israel promising death to any countries?

Benjamin Netanyahu makes it sound like they want a war. I mean the title of this thread is about whether Isreal should strike Iran.

Forgetting we help found the country and they are the strongest allie in the middle east. I would say the Holocaust and WW2 are good reasons when there are millions of people in their region who wish Hitler succeeded.

To fully disclose, we supported Britain's colonization effort in the mid-East. Because of the British colonization tactics, and our support of them, we helped created eternal enemies for not only ourselves, but for Israel as well.

Which brings me to this question: Why, after our own war against the British, and our independence from them, would we have supported the colonization effort.

But, back to the subject at hand, the situation in the mid-East, and America's involvement historically and present is a tangled quagmire. We really can't sit aside if Israel does take action. And we really can't be involved. It's a flippin' mess for us either way.

And to the original question, no. Israel should not preemptively attack Iran, and I don't think they will.

I don't really agree with your first paragraph explanation. It's partially correct I guess but a little simplified.

Benjamin Netanyahu makes it sound like they want a war. I mean the title of this thread is about whether Isreal should strike Iran.

They want a war ? They want the right to survive are you kidding me?

Yes, I did. I'm gonna say it right now. I don't care about Isreal and I don't care about Iran. As long as there is no war, I'm fine either way.

So you're fine that a majority of the middle east doesn't want Jews to exist?

I wonder what you would of thought in the 30's and 40's..........

Against who? To a country that is vastly inferior to them? The right to survive doesn't mean let's attack a country and drag other countries into it.

Maybe I'm interpreting you wrong but you appear to be on Iran's side and that's your right if you so choose. But Israel has been under constant threat by Iran for decades now. It's not the other way around. Did GWB label Iran or Israel an axis of evil?

Isreal is more powerful than all of them combined. No, I'm not fine with the middle east. They have the right to defend themselves, but to start a war on a country that is all bark and no bite? No.

double post.

For the record no one wants a war. Regardless as how some would like to paint people. I'm just in the group that this deal doesn't make us any more safe and I fear it makes us less safe.

Reading what terms that habe been released makes it seem we negotiated from a position of weakness or at a position that seems like we were trying to apease the middle east instead of negotiating from a position of strength and American best interest.

I'm not on anyone's side. I'm just tired of people wanting to get into another conflict with a country that is of no threat to us.

double post.

Isreal has the 2nd best air force in the world and great special forces. But there are a few armies if combined could take them out.

You create alliances for a reason. You don't back out on then or negotiate against your allies interest unless it dramatically impacts your country in positive way. This deal isn't that.

Who said we're backing out? If israel gets involved, then we get involved and thats's what I don't want.

Israel doesn't take care of them? Last I check they're pretty good in taking out terrorist.
