Brandon Marshall: White players treated differently when it comes to NFL discipline

Featured Replies

The topic of conversation was Deflategate and the battle between Tom Brady and the NFL, and Marshall said that “a lot of players” believe there’s a double standard based on skin color when it comes to the way the league hands out discipline.

“White players, specifically at the quarterback position, are treated differently,” Marshall said.

Later, host Adam Schein asked Marshall if players believe black players are held to a different standard.

“Absolutely,” Marshall said. “At times, at times, at times, yes.”

The NFL is a train wreck right now.

Do the games start soon?

It's been a drama fest since the AFC championship game. Forget the politics, I just want to watch some football already!

I don't believe race had a part in any aspect of "Deflategate", or in any altercation or issue with a player within the NFL.

What a "nothing" story. Is there any evidence to back this up? Does he think a white QB named Brady got special treatment in getting a 4 game suspension? I guess you could make the case he got special treatment but not in the way Marshall is saying...quite the opposite.

I would just like to see some examples of what he is talking about before giving it any credence.

Same here. When I read it I was trying to figure out what planet he has been since DeflateGate has only been on news since the third week in January.

Shocked to hear a WR make a public statement with no merit that will do nothing but make you talk about it for a day or so. How I miss Ocho.........sigh.

I feel like if it came from someone else, I may pay more attention to it.

For that comment Marshall should be suspended 4 games.

Nothing nice to say...

OK, I will say, I wouldn't spend a red cent on the NFL.

Brady may have gotten special treatment, but it was because he's the face of the game, not because he's white. Marshall proving yet again he's a complete moron.

I don't think Brady received special treatment. He's been through a bunch of crap for 7 months because of air in a football.

It's the NFL. He just may get suspended for it. :lol2:

Oh I agree. I'm simply saying, if he did receive any special treatment it was for that reason, not because he's white.

Poor Lil Brandon crying wolf .
