Rockcastle County vs. Garrard County Predictions

I understand if you try to run the ball up the middle all the time you will get beat by the rock. You may get lose a few times but I wont be surprised to see a shutout by rock.

 

I definitely don't see a shutout by no means. I think I can recall you saying Rock would beat Danville! We all know how that turned out :lol2:

And I can see Garrard getting to the outside and break a couple of runs before the night is over. Rock's defense according to you is the best there is. Gave up 46 to Danville and 6 to South Laurel who has struggled for a couple of years.

Danville's receivers may be faster, but my understanding is that Garrard's more than held their own in 7 on 7. That is not a game, but if your argument is about speed, I don't think Danville's is that much better.

 

Will be interesting to see if Garrard follows Danville's template and opens it up a little bit. It looked like they found a couple things with the pass late in the game against Lincoln.

 

The main concern to me is that Garrard is just beat up, right now. Lots of injuries/illnesses.

 

This is a huge concern. Lots of players who play significant minutes are out. Hopefully most of them can play and if not, the backups will perform to the best of their abilities.

I think @gchs_uk9 hears me out when I say, as I brought up to him at the game Friday night...Garrard looked like the most un-disciplined team in the history of sports on Friday. There were a couple plays where I was embarrassed by the actions of some of our kids. Hopefully, those will be corrected this week in practice and GC will play a sound/fundamental game.

I think @gchs_uk9 hears me out when I say, as I brought up to him at the game Friday night...Garrard looked like the most un-disciplined team in the history of sports on Friday. There were a couple plays where I was embarrassed by the actions of some of our kids. Hopefully, those will be corrected this week in practice and GC will play a sound/fundamental game.

 

Yes, you are right. The Garrard/Lincoln game might not have been so close had it not been for some penalties that kept drives going. But if you allow the other team to remain on the field due to penalties then eventually it will come back and bite you. It almost did Friday night.

You can't go by 7on7's we beat Boyle county and Southwestern at camp this summer an we all see how good both those teams are now .. I give GC credit they do seem good on the ground but GC has not faced a Defense that is as good at stoping the run as we are! Danville had 7 rushing yards SL had 60 and that was on our JV that played halfway from 3rd quarterly entire 4th. The 6 points that was give up was due to 5 ref calls for unsportsmanship penalties that was for hitting to hard that put the ball from SL 30 to Rocks 1 yard line and still took SL 4 tries to score from the 1 so in all honesty it was 40-0 with running clock in the 3rd. But back to game Friday I feel it will be very physical and I feel Rock will win the line of scrimmage battle and ultimately win the game. GC is no where near as fast as Danville and I do not feel Rockcastle will play anyone even close to that much speed. GC has managed 80 yards passing in 3 games doubt we see GC air it out and if they do they won't be any faster then we are we have really good cover 2 defense that has already had 3 or 4 interceptions in 2 games so I welcome the pass. As stated before only reason Danville was able to do what they did was bc speed kills and so does our run defense. Good luck Friday should be interesting may the best run defense win!

Only stating the facts camp and 7on7 means jack squat what you do on the field on Friday nights is what counts. come this Friday GC fans an players will learn that quick when we play. I feel Rockcastle has the better team and better running game and now come Friday they will prove it.

Boyle is really physical this year, ask Danville.
