They didn't play Highlands or any other large school since that was their first year of Freshman football. They wound up beating Beechwood in the final game of the season which somehow became a championship game. There hasn't been a playoff system for Freshman for many years. Since KHSAA declared Freshman teams cannot play a game until that schools varsity team plays and then the freshman season cannot extend beyond that schools varsity season.

They beat Highlands? I don't remember that.

Don't know if they played HHS that year or not, all I know is they went undefeated and played Beechwood a 2nd time that year for the championship @Cooper and beat them for the title.

I am pretty sure that year Cooper played in the lower divison since they were a new school.

They may have but I thought Beechwood wasn't in the lower division, I'm pretty sure they also beat Rule that year too.

I must of missed the other 2 I guess. Bowman I thought had 5 kickoffs tonight and I could of sworn that none were returnable. All touch backs. Am I wrong?

Yes Brycen is a very Special player. His 8th grade year this year in the FTJFL would of been a complete loss. It would be different if he didn't belong on the Frosh level but he is one of the better players on the field....Period! Can't wait to watch little Huddy grow into his Superstar mindset. You won't find another player that will outwork the young man. Exciting times ahead for the Bluebirds for sure!
