  1. 1. Who wins this one ?

Raceland travels to Grayson this Friday to take on East Carter. Raceland will be coming off a loss at Ashland while East will be coming in confident after getting a Win vs, West Union, OH (56-7 !) to open their season on a high note after a long sting of losses in 2014.

Does favored Raceland get back on the winning track or does East come in so confident after a huge win that they ride on that boost to pull the upset at home ?

Raceland improved a great deal from week 1 to week 2. I think they get a few more kinks worked out this week snd open uo the passing game a little bit more. East Carter is improved, but I dont think they have turned things around enough to handle us upfront. I dont think Raceland will make the same mistake they made with West Carter in over looking them a little, but imo, West Carter smacking us in the mouth a few times and then seeing the turn around, simply in attitude in the Ashland game, makes be believe the Rams roll.

Raceland 40

East Carter 14

A lot can go into the final score of this game. My Raiders are improved but Raceland is still Raceland. I know this group of Raiders want to beat Raceland as bad as they want to beat any team on their schedule.

I'm gonna be confident in my boys and take them.

Raiders 38

Rams 30

I think this will be a game to show how much improved East is. It's not just a coaching change or a system change that's happened, it's a whole entire program and community change.

Tim Champlin is going to build something at East Carter, he's a great guy. They've all bought in and honestly believe they can win every game on their schedule. I see chemistry I haven't saw in recent years. Things are looking up

Glad to hear that East is rebuilding in a positive way. Our area is consistently kind of pitiful outside of a few teams, year in and year out. When comparing to other football regions of the state, NEKY, generally has 3 solid programs in Ashland, Russell, and Raceland and then Johnson Central being on the next level. The last few years, Paintsville has turned things around, West Carter is seemingly turning the corner, as is Greenup County, hope to see EC do the same thing and get back to competing for Ws each and every friday night. Better football, imo, breeds better football, competition breeds competitions. The better ALL surounding teams are, the better everyone else has to be, creating more snd more chances for better football games.

East appears to be much improved, but I think Raceland bounces back with a win. Will Raceland be 100% injury wise for this one? There were some big hits in the Ashland game, but if I remember right most of the official timeouts for a player down was due to cramps.

Yeah I think I was 12 last time we made the playoffs (2008) and the year before that was the last time we beat Raceland!

I just hope the parents and fans are patient and realistic otherwise it could ruin the whole thing. I'm ready for Friday, any of you Ram fans making the trip to Grayson? Would love to meet a few of you guys
