That's a really tough question. There aren't many bad teams on those schedules.

I think CAL.. DeSales is close

CAL. Remember that CAL plays/played Simon Kenton, Central, Meade County, and North Oldham all on the road

Bleh... too early in the season for me to give a good answer. So many unknowns about all these teams.

 

For now I'll say: CAL, DeSales, NCC and Mayfield

I think CAL has the toughest, followed by MF or atleast the most of the highest rated teams

With respect to teams like Washington County, Shawnee, Webster County, etc... I don't think any of those schools will be the swing vote that people base a decision on.

 

Let's just call those teams a WASH since there is probably not a team in the lot who will avoid a running clock against the 4 schools above.

Fair enough. I wasn't sure who else was in the districts of each team. Last year, NCC had a pretty solid district. The DeSales CAL district was even tougher.

That's odd. Working with that data, the average state rank of MF's schedule is 67, DeSales is 75, CAL is 52, and NCC is 68. By that logic they should have them listed as CAL, MF, NCC, and DeSales.

 

Y'know on second glance DeSales's schedule doesn't look as strong as I previously thought. I think Ballard will be tougher than expected, but otherwise they might belong fourth on this list.

I would definitely call that one of the top five 2A schedules, though I think the other four listed here are stronger. Still, I'm expecting OCath to be a big threat in the playoffs this year. The Western bracket is loaded.

If this week's NCC vs Cooper game is moved to Cooper, then NCC will have 2 Home and 8 Road games this year.
