Clyde
I will go ahead and assume that Smith would have helped NCC's chances.

saint bred
I thought NCC played well considering the lack of Smith. Scott had a ton of penalties. I still would like to see the film of the fumble return.
KentuckyJoe
Slop fest tonight!!! Scott couldn't move the ball. #7 is solid but runs "east to west" a little more than is needed. Scotts lone score came by big #7 7 on a fumble return. NewCath moved the ball better than Scott but still not very well and fumbled the game away. Both teams looked terrible. NewCath better wake up or Cooper might put up 100 next week. Tallon from NewCath does lay some big hits and runs the ball very very hard, probably best player on field tonight. Only time he came off field was with an injury with about 2 min to go, looked like an ankle. Hope he is ok and Smith gets back soon for the Breds. Lawnboy13
Really feel bad for the Breds as they let this one slip away. 1st half both teams traded possessions, however the Breds had a chance to grab the lead on their 1st possession. Ryan Hans lines up to kick a 37 yard field goal, but the snap is low...holder does a miraculous job with the placement, but the kick is wide right (not by much). Hans had PLENTY of distance. With 7 seconds remaining in the 3rd the Breds dent the board on a John Harris 7 yard TD run. Set up by a nice 20 yard pass from Henschen to Jobe Freppon. Then with under 7:00 remaining and the Breds with 3 consecutive 10 plus yard runs DISASTER. I believe it was John Harris running the ball and after a 5 yd gain there is a big "pile-up" (this took place on the other side of the field from were I was sitting), the biggest Scott Linemen comes up with the ball and runs 10 yards down field (mind you, there is no whistle blowing the play dead) and then the chase is on. NewCath defender finally reaches him about the 3, but he makes in to the endzone for a 40 yard TD. Scott takes 2 timeouts and then goes for 2 on a QB keeper. Just a heartbreaking way to lose the game, but you play till you here the whistle. Kobe Tallon was an ANIMAL on defense with some bone jarring hits:scared:, and was surprised to see him running the ball and making catches on offense. :thumb: Maleek Lawrence was Maleek Lawrence. "Hair-ball" and Jobe Freepon...nice job gentlemen. The Breds run defense did a really nice job. Learn from this one Breds and move on to next week. Lawnboy13
several penalties after the play tonight .....and Scott had at least 4 delay of game calls against them. Both teams had there fair share of yellow hankies. No wonder the game took 2 and a half hours to play.

NKYknowitall
Maleek Lawrence may be my favorite player to watch this year. He has a natural feel on the DL and makes plays that I don't see guys on Saturday's making. Is he receiving any kind of college interest?
Voice of Reason
I am a bit surprised by the score, not necessarily that NCC lost. I sure expected NCC to score more than one TD.
