One of the best lines ever created by a public relations department... "Guns don't kill people, people kill people."

I still support that amendment fully. Americans like to kill each other for some reason. I suggest we take care of that instead of taking guns away from law-abiding citizens that use them properly.

Voted yes...

Even though it written in the 18th century it is still our right to own a gun and should be kept that way.

They will have to kill me before they take mine away from me.

Im gonna ease this post to the GD board and see what kind of results we get.

I prefer "Guns don't kill people..................I DO!" But then again I am sick like that. :creepy: :bunny: :bunny: :creepy:

I voted NO

To many people killed when they suddenly go crazy

Lets see, if I type something in a 4 year-old thread, will it show up in the new "Great Outdoors" Forum?

^ Yes it did.

Second Amendment all the way, card carrying member of the NRA - "out of my cold dead hands".

I voted no simply because that amendment was written well before anyone could imagine the types of weapons available in modern times. I believe that there may be a better way.

This is an intelligent comment. All the amendments were written a long time ago, the freedom of speech - before anyone could imagine people burning our own flag. The freedom of religion - before anyone could imagine 100 different religions and 25 different kinds of Baptist.

I voted Yes and That is an absolute YES. :thumb: I am a card carrying member of the NRA and support our God given right to keep and bear arms. I absolutely oppose the politicians like Kennedy, Clinton, Shumer, Fienstien, Boxer, etc. that want to change the constitution of the United States of America and take that right away from law abiding citizens :fight: ! There are plenty of gun laws on the books as it is and we just need the judges in this country to enforce them.

"I will give up my guns when they pry my cold, dead hands from around it!"

A gun never killed anyone, it is the idiot that pulls the trigger. The NRA is also in favor of more strict puinishment on these maniacs to keep them in prison where they belong instead of some judge being influence by lets say "special interest" and lighten their sentence. Put them in prison and keep them there.

Could the writers have made a mistake and actually meant, "the right to arm bears"? Then they could really do anything in the woods.:D

Yes here. It would certainly bring a few more "Nos" in General Discussion, or P&R for that matter, but "Yes" would continue to dominate I believe.
