Well if Mayfield is top 10, shouldn't the team that nearly beat them (had them beat) in the finals at least be top 25.

Same could be said for every team.

 

If you base it on returning players + last years results then Pulaski would be top 5 as they return nearly all starters from 5A Champion

It's nearly an impossible task to rank every team in the state from top to bottom before any games are played. I like the conversation it stirs up, but that's all this is good for at the moment. These rankings will be fun to follow as the season progresses, though.

 

I love how DeSales is ranked just two spots ahead of a team they demolished over the weekend.

 

Really, aside from Dixie at #5 , the top 10 looks alright to me.

 

McCracken looks overrated at #11 , while Pulaski is underrated at #22 , IMO.

So when do the local Norhern Ky papers (Kentucky Enquirer etc) come out with their High School football preview? Or has it already happened? I don't get the paper so not sure.

I was thinking the same thing. How could several of thsoe schools be on the list in the first place and then have Pulaski so far down on the list. Last I checked they won the 5A title in the same class that has Bowling Green in it.
