MJAlltheWay24
Only three home games left. But a long year, but I have still enjoyed myself and this has been my personal most successful of the three seasons as a beer vendor.
Voice of Reason
Is this second half the blow it up many people were wanting at the start of the year? Is this enough like the Astros rebuild or do we need to feel more pain?
UKMustangFan
Not even in the realm of being close enough, but this is about what you can expect with this group. If they were truly trying to "blow it up" Chapman and Bruce both would've been gone and we'd have seen the likes of Waldrop, Duran, Winker, Rodriguez, Reed, etc. in September. Still a long ways to go. Need to find ways to move Chapman, Bruce, and Phillips in the offseason.

Voice of Reason
Is it a good idea to bring up the really young guys or do you cause a setback by bringing them up before they are ready?

UKMustangFan
Is it a good idea to bring up the really young guys or do you cause a setback by bringing them up before they are ready? Depends on who you're talking about. Stephenson and Winker 100% should be up here at the beginning of the season. Same goes for guys like Waldrop or Rodriguez, if they earn themselves a spot. I'd say Garrett, Reed, Duran, and Blandino are guys that should probably start the season in the system.
plantmanky
Why do we want to be like the Astros, they are tanking fast.

I look at a couple of those guys you have listed and don't think they will ever be a major league starter. Why would we waste time playing them? UKMustangFan
Why do we want to be like the Astros, they are tanking fast. The best young roster in baseball, one of the best 2-3 farm systems in the game, and in the playoff hunt. You're right, no reason at all to strive for that.
