St Henry has no players on the top 10 list.

 

Sanders should be on there w/out a shadow of a doubt.

Gessenhues from Highlands has to be on there if we are talking 1 on 1 skills.

I made the first half of the CCH v WHS game and happen run into his father whom I've seen reffing club games and asked about this. He's narrowing down his list but it sounds like he has about 4-5 DIs as the focus with a couple DII & DIIIs in the mix still. As three of the WHs players on his club team were out on the pitch it appeared they were doing some fun ribbing during the match. Haven't seen him play since Wisconsin but IMHO he's a good example of how a greater player can make those around him/her better. He sees the full field, knows where it needs to go the next two passes before receiving and is extremely smooth and knows when he can and should just take on defenses with the technical skill to penetrate back lines. I can see why the CCH faithful are excited about their prospects. If they can combine their athleticism with ball control at pace they should be able to advance far come end of season.

He is lazy and selfish

 

He opened against SK with a goal and 3 asssist. He also got a hat trick against a strong Highlands team... sounds lazy and selfish to me...especially with a man marking him every game I'm sure.

Snow won't score 15 goals or have more than 5 assists. He is lazy and selfish..... I watched them play highlands, he scored ona few free kicks and stood in H for the rest of the game. Imo the rest of the team watches him the entire game because they know he's not going to pass the ball.

•Nathan Roe, Ryle: Two-time first-team all-region defender as a shutdown sweeper.

Looks like a good start for a top 10 list to me.

Again.....just the scorers......mostly. No love for the defenders.

 

It may sound self serving, but probably have to throw out Jacob Litzler to the list. Against CCH's very tough schedule, he has 6 goals and 7 assists, leading the team in both categories.......and has sat out more than 2 halves due to the scores and getting subs in. Had 3 goals in the first 11 minutes against Walnut Hills, Ohio then in about 15 minutes in the second half added 3 assists.

 

I'm also looking at this as Top NKY Players and not Top Players from each team....so IMHO, not every team will be represented and some teams will have more than one player.

From where I sit, no probably about it, I think Litzler has gotten off to a great start this season and is well deserving of inclusion, I can only think of one person who may disagree. :whistling:

Carter Kunstek of St. Henry should be in, or close to, the top 10. He is a solid and reliable defender, and has a very good "read" of the game. Very vocal, but usually in a positive way. He's only a sophomore but has been a varsity starter since the start of freshman year.

Day is a real athlete. He has a great knowledge of the beautiful game, and makes it look effortless at times. I would not be surprised if some colleges are hoping to pick him up for their swim team also, he had a heck of a good high school swim season last year. On top of that he is one of the nicest kids you could meet, and no, I'm not related to him!

Some of the kids like Bryce Day are obviously going to be on the list which is why I mentioned him. I really have to laugh at the stat quoters though.....Bryce had 6 goals and 5 assists last year. Imo it means he was a good player. They faced tough competition, unlike some teams who had kids who scored 16 or 18 goals, and assists in the high 20s. It's all relative...

I totally agree......for example, the current goal leader on khsaa is a kid from Franklin-Simpson. 14 goals in 3 games......however.....they only list 16 players on the roster so he probably has to stay in the entire game and therefore pads stats.

Exactly. Throw the stats out the window unless they all play similar competition, which will never happen.
