CCH 1 BB 0 24 min left in second

Thanks for the update. I would appreciate a final when available.

CCH 1 BB 0 final goal came off a CCH corner about mid way through the first half.

Thanks!

It's good to hear that we (Brossart) made a good showing against the 9th Region top-dogs.

Brossart did a nice job in the night cap. They moved the ball well as a team and stayed fairly organized defensively. Geiman looked solid in midfield. I'd bet they have a stingy defense again this year, but it wasn't clear who'll be scoring goals.

As advertised, CCH has a ton of depth. It looked like a fairly mixed set of players on the field at any one time and I know they had a couple out on injury. Im sure as the season progresses and numbers/chemistry get refined a top 13-15 will emerge, but hard to pick them from the stands at this point. Bryce Day did stand out as a playmaker. He passes well, moves off the ball well, and can make people miss when the ball is on his foot. He'll be a pleasure to continue to watch.

Hard to really comment on the CCH/BB game from the CCH perspective given all the mixed lineups that were used by CCH. It appeared that it was more of an individual talent evaluation than a team audition/scrimmage. Cole Stava, Adam Flynn and Michael Wessels all injured for CCH and not playing. Disjointed effort at best by the Colonels. Brossart struggled with possessing the ball.

Have to agree with GP on this one.....coach obviously was looking at individuals. Don't know the names of mustang players as it is still early, but 17 stuck out, but it didn't look as if he had a lot of help around him.

One quick comment, and please read this with a very friendly tone because that is its true intent........

Fans should really sit on the side of the pitch that their teams bench is on......no written rule, but it does limit the opportunities for conflicts and negative interactions. Perhaps it isn't as widely known as thought, but most fans will try to sit on their side between the 45 and 30 yard lines (if the pitch has football lines) and when they show up and both sides are taken up by the opposing team, pushing the other fans into the end zone/red zone area, it starts off on the wrong foot.

Just sayin' with peace and love......

Hats off to Ryle on a well organized Soccerama. Loved the food options. Tasty waffles.:thumb:

No waffles Saturday night....:madman::madman::madman:

Any good info regarding the Highlands/Cooper game? Does Highlands have a threat up top? Did cooper look more organized from their games at BSG?

17 was probably Sam Parnell... he'll be an important player for Brossart.

I love it! Soccer fan etiquette. This is a very good suggestion (not that I haven't heard this before)

Cooper lost to a down highlands team, good thing they have that new assistant over there....... Lol

Highlands 2-1 I heard Cooper goalie situation is comical

As others have commented, hard to draw a lot of conclusions about teams at this point, but I'm interested to watch:

Scott: Johnny Trenkamp... fed forward to the attack from outside last year. If he moves up into midfield can he add some more dimension in attack, combine with Morgan and Hegerty and/or provide service from out wide? Looking for the same from Ryan Wolff from the other side.

NCC: Justin Randle... I think the NCC defense will have its hands full. JR does a great job at center back, but lots to organize to thwart Scott's attack.

St. Henry: DJ Sanders... looking forward to seeing Sanders motor in the midfield. Lots of others to watch. Interested to see how the back line shakes out.

Ryle: Nathan Roe... I haven't seen him play, but I'm a big fan of the defensive game so I'm ready to become a believer.

This isn't my pick of "best players" in these games -- lots of good players to watch -- just players of interest for various reasons...

Sanders has good potential providing he passes the ball, and learns a little self control when things don't go his way. That'll come with maturity.

Kunstek is one to watch too. Very good defender, and still only a sophomore.
