August 5, 201511 yr I would never have believed that either. Is there even a team that has semi success against him? Just looked it up -- here are some of the better #'s against Chapman: Houston: 14 games, 11 innings, 13 hits, 10 runs (8.18 ERA & 2.27 WHIP) Colorado: 12 2/3 IP, 7 runs (7 earned), 4.97 ERA, 1.89 WHIP White Sox: 2/3 of an inning, 3 hits, 2 runs, 13.50 ERA Blue Jays: 1 2/3 IP, 4 runs, 21.60 ERA Indians: 7 1/3 IP, 7 hits, 4 runs, 4.91 ERA
August 6, 201511 yr As posted in the post-ASG averages thread, Frazier was dreadful last night (and has been for some time). I don't think any knowledgeable fan would disagree that he was playing above his capabilities prior to mid-JUN. However, the fall has been dramatic. Just waiting for someone to look at the stats and write the "HR Derby screws up your swing article." I reluctantly said to trade him right after the ASG because I didn't think his value could ever be higher. I hope he turns things around before the end of the season. Being right like this is not any fun. Frazier has been terrible and it started about two weeks before the All Star game. I believe he hit one HR about the last two weeks prior and one one since. Something has gone south for him.
August 6, 201511 yr How can Votto be as hot as he was and not he cnn not hit nothing. Swinging right through fastballs. I think he learned the streaks from Bruce.
August 6, 201511 yr Hoover!!!! For the love of me I don't know why you throw a fastball right down the middle to their hottest hitter. He also missed his location by about a foot.

August 6, 201511 yr Frazier has been pulling off of the ball for a month. When he went through the hot stretch he could at least cover about 85% of the plate and effectively get wood on the ball. Now if it's not on the inside 25% of the plate, he's rolling over and grounding out to short.
August 6, 201511 yr :ohbrother: A guy can go hitless for a game without in being a cold streak. More like five or six games. Been swinging through fastballs right down the middle.
August 6, 201511 yr More like five or six games. Been swinging through fastballs right down the middle. Last 7 days 16 ABs 4 Hits 10 Walks .267 I guess that's a real bad slump. :idunno:
August 6, 201511 yr More like five or six games. Been swinging through fastballs right down the middle. Maybe because it's hard to hit MLB pitching.
