August 3, 201511 yr It starts and ends with Flair. The best until he got a little older and a wee bit goofy if you will. The Rock, Piper, Rhodes and jimmy Hart were right there. I know Hart wasn't a wrestler but who cares. As for the worst, Lex Luger and Rick Martel.
August 6, 201511 yr No one has mentioned Jesse "the Body" Ventura. He was great at hype, on the mic, and now does it on the political scene. Same character, just a different ring.

I thought about Jesse, but I don't really remember watching him wrestle. I do remember his color commentary being pretty good.

A lesser known but brilliant talker was Ron Wright out of Kingsport, TN. I know you know him but probably most of our posters don't. Also, Lawler was pretty good in his day. How about Handsome Jimmy Valiant? He would definitely be in my top five!
