The Professor
My GF and I went to the Eagles concert at Rupp Arena Saturday night and I must say it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. They had the entire band with the exception of Don Felder, who has been adequately replaced by Steuart Smith, and Randy Meisner who hasn't been with the band since 1978. Even had original member Bernie Leadon with them. Rupp was packed to the rafters and the band even had the lights turned on to see the crowd and thank them for coming out. They played for 3 hours and even added several of Joe Walsh's songs from his pre-Eagles days. This was my second time to see them in concert. I saw them in 1977 at Riverfront Colisium. I must say they have gotten better with age. It was well worth the $340 for the pair of tickets.

Paging Jim Schue.

ColonelCrazy
I would love to see the Eagles in concert but have a hard time justifying that type of coin for a concert.

I've been to hundreds of concerts, but can't spend that much too see anybody. I've never broken the $100 barrier yet. Or actually come close. Or actually come close. I've paid more than $100 for multiple artists or music festivals. I'd likely pay that much for The Eagles if I thought my wife would enjoy it. I thought about seeing them at US Bank in Cincinnati but I despise the venue.
4chs
They definitely give you your money's worth, at least in my opinion. It's amazing that they can still bring that quality at their age.
mcpapa
You sure that wasn't a cover band? The cool thing about it was that not long after that concert, they were on Midnight Special. One or two of them were wearing Morehead (Eagles) t-shirts.

The Linda Ronstadt/Eagles concert that I attended? "Restricted view" (above and behind the stage, not really restricted) seats were 7 bucks. I'm old. Bengal Maniac
Saw them at Morehead. Also saw them at Capital Center in Landover, MD with Linda Ronstadt. Paging Jim Schue. Saw them at MSU also. Real early days of the band. Also saw Grass Roots, Spinners Seals and Croft, plus many others. Great concerts in the early 70's at the 'head. Also saw the Eagles at Riverfront about 10 years ago. The Boss was (I think) $80 when we saw them on the reunion tour with E Street. Your seats were similar to ours, if I recall correctly. That's the most I ever paid for a single-artist show. I paid $95 the first year I went to South by Southwest, in 2000, which still stands as the most I've ever spent for a concert or concert festival. Was able to go on credentials the next two years, so I don't know for sure how much the wristband cost, but I think my buddy paid $150. It's probably $400 now. I feel very, very sorry for you poor souls who just got extorted by the Evil Don Henley for hundreds of bucks. I'm being totally sincere about that. I hope Vaseline was included in the ticket price.
