I can't, off the top of my head, think of a song I loathe more than "Sledgehammer".

I agree 10,000% and I hate the video even more!!!

Let me help you out.

Hey now, those guys are straight up pimps.

This Video forced MTV to change their rules on voting for the daily request chart as it stayed on top of the list for around 90 straight days...unwritten MTV "Crue Rule" later implemented allowed only songs that were within 30 days of release to be considered for the daily countdown.

Did you know that four-time Academy Award nominated composer Danny Elfman's first appearance in film or television came in a 1976 episode of The Gong Show?

I LOVED The Gong Show. Gene Gene the Dancing Machine, The Unknown Comic.

I watch Gong Show clips on You Tube all the time. A friend of mine believes it to be the height of television; it's hard to argue. Chuck Barris had more energy and charisma than any three people on TV right now -- being fueled by cocaine probably helped, but it made him an amazing host.

If the Gong Show came back tomorrow -- with the RIGHT host -- I'd watch every day.

However, I don't think that formula can be replicated.

The Bait Brothers - Shake the Ground. I'll try to find it.

At about the 2:30 mark. Love the judges in this one, too.

^ Arte Johnson, Jaye P. Morgan, and Jamie Farr... that's a strong crew. I remember a clip I saw once where the whole crowd and the judges went completely off the wall during a Gene Gene the Dancing Machine bit and Morgan took her shirt off and threw it at him.

Ft. Thomas, and I think Highlands '86 grad Chris Schleyer has had a decent amount of success as a guitarist first playing lead in the Trent Resnor produced and innovative industrial metal band (word filter didn't like the band name, but it's a 5 letter slang word for penis also starting with a "P")... founded in 1992.

He then went on for a significant period being the lead guitarist for electronic industrial pop Norwegian band Zeromancer that had decent success throughout Europe.

He's been a guitar tech for Tool and A Perfect Circle.

He was also a member of the bands "Kidney Thieves" and the brainchild of the band "Affected"

He, on and off also did some studio session work for Trent Resnor here and there over the years as well.

Being a local guy, I was wondering if any Bluebird grads out there remember him.

In this photo with Zeromancer he's the guy in red...

And here's a more current photo of him...
