July 24, 201511 yr According to the crawl on ESPN, Miller is apparently going to be a hybrid H-back/receiver/punt returner for the Bucks this fall. Don't know that this will come as a surprise to anyone. Will be interesting to see how many potential throwing opportunities he may still get out of that position. The opposing safeties and corners better stick with their man, even on a reverse or WR end around.
July 24, 201511 yr Hand off/pitch options on every play.... 1. Ezekiel Elkiott 2. Braxton Miller 3. Jalin Marshall 4. Dontre Wilson 5. Curtis Samuel Or the 6"5" 245lbs QB keeps it, or throws it 50-60 yards down field...

I always felt the evolution would one day take it to a poor man's version of an A-1 offense. For tOSU it is more about just having the threat. They are not going to commit full time going "gimmicky" but it will be interesting to see. And while Braxton knows his stuff and is a tremendous athlete, it is still a different position and it doesn't mean he is going to excel at being a WR. I have no clue on the depth chart where Braxton would be as a WR? You know?

As far as Braxton he is the Hback, so he will primarily be in the slot and sometimes in the backfield. A lot of quick hitters, get the ball to him quickly in space. This is often the most coveted position on the field in Meyer's offense. Dontre Wilson was recruited for this position but has been so so thus far, Jalin Marshall was excellent last year at it, Braxton could be scary in it with his ability to make people miss in space. His goal will be to be "Percy Harvin." We'll see if he stays healthy.
July 24, 201511 yr Should have transferred to LSU. Big mistake on his part. God bless him for wanting to stay, but I feel for Braxton. There is now conflicting reports from his side and the team side on the whole incident.
July 24, 201511 yr This may have been Urban's best recruiting job of his life, keeping Miller. However.....if he wasn't going to beat out the other two dudes, he should have encouraged/helped him find a landing spot (see Goldson at FSU). If he's concerned about the injury and it's impact on his ability to play QB, bless Urban for pushing him to a position where he may be able to earn some $$ in the future and not shining him on.
July 24, 201511 yr I guess I hope it works out for him, but if you're not an OSU fan, it really, really feels like Braxton made a mistake.

The first thing I thought of is him playing a position similar the Harvin.
July 24, 201511 yr Such an odd circumstance. We've seen first strings go to third strings before, but not in a scenario like this.

Urban has always been a fan of Oregon and the spread, he's close friends with Chip Kelly. He will try to run more uptempo this year as he has an all time high in weapons and speed. (More than he ever had at Florida.). A lot of mouths to feed.
July 24, 201511 yr Well past a few wrinkles Meyer has been running the same offense since Bowling Green. I don't see trying to increase your tempo as running a modified Oregon offense. Past some general concepts (RPO, Read game, wanting to run the ball, spread formations) they are very different offenses. If tempo is the issue then there is a whole list of schools TT, UCLA, T A&M and Oregon are just a few that push tempo.
