MLB Trade Deadline

Featured Replies

Cardinals have traded pitching prospect Rob Kaminsky to the Indians for OF Brandon Moss. Seriously? The Indians were able to get a top 100 prospect for the crappy Brandon Moss? What the hell?

Matt Holliday is falling apart one day at time.

@jonmorosi: Anthony Alford is NOT in the deal, source says.

Deal is official:

@BNightengale: The #Tigers also get back Labourt and Boyd from #BlueJays

So Price--> Blue Jays

Norris, Boyd, Labourt--> Tigers

Hoping he's right....

#Reds have to be pleased. With Cueto, Price, and Hamels traded, their Mike Leake may be next-best arm that moves before deadline.

To quote Chris Archer "If anyone wants to know what it looks like to be all in, check out the Jays."

As of right now we've got buyers in the pitching market of: Dodgers, Giants, Astros, Yankees, White Sox, and Orioles.

Am I missing anyone?

I'd add the Cards to the bat market. I think they are in on Upton and Cespedes.

In regards to the tweet about Leake and the pitching market. Throw in the pressure in New York with the Blue Jays AND that Pineda is being scratched tonight. Perfect storm forming for the Reds..

CJ Nitkowski (sp?) just tweeted out a piece where he said Chapman is the answer to the Yankees rotation problems. Basically adding him gives them the best pen in the game and shortens the game for their suspect rotation.

True, either one I guess. That pen would be ridiculous. Regardless, the Yankees need what the Reds have. If I'm Walt I make sure Phillips is part of whatever deal they make.

With yankees pitching ailments, gotta think mike leake is looking good to them now

Offer them Leake, Phillips, and Chapman. See if they'll part with Judge and another 2-3 prospects in the 15-30 range.

BTW, I'd put that at about a 0% chance of happening, but it's fun to speculate.

Marlon Byrd to the White Sox would make sense to me.
