Like you said, I don't see any reason they wouldn't be able to get a package like that for him. This is terrible to say but an injury in the next 48 hours of a contending teams closer wouldn't be the worst thing to happen lol. I'm not wishing it, just throwing it out there.

I think it's 50/50 that Leake gets moved, but I think ownership wants to re-sign him and thinks they'll be able to do so -- which is a mistake, in my opinion. Not sure what will happen with Chapman.

With the pitching depth in the organization there's no way I'd tie up money in Leake especially with what he will probably get in FA. It might be rough next year but our young starters should be good to go by 2017. I roll with Stephenson, Finnegan, Desclafani, Lamb and either Lorenzen/Moscot/Iglesias. With all the potential starters the Reds have even deeper in the pipeline and its super deep right now I would consider moving Lorenzen and Iglesias to the pen where I believe they'd thrive. Insert Bailey into the rotation when he's ready and remove Moscot.

I agree with all of this. I've never thought the Reds would have a fire sale, even had my doubts about Cueto being traded. I think Leake and Chapman stay. Phillips and Bruce will retire as Reds as long as Jocketty and Castelini are in charge.

Surely he doesn't want to be part of a rebuild and waste two seasons here. Package him with Chapman and empty the NY farm system.

Problem is Yankees have said they aren't moving any of their top 4-5 prospects. That makes it a non-starter.

Nothing against BP, love him as a player but I'd be willing to watch another season of Cozart at the plate and Suarez at 2nd if we could add some prospects and save some $$$$.
