July 30, 201511 yr The Mets/Brewers soap opera last night was interesting. The kid from the Mets who was supposedly involved found out during the game he was being traded and was seen crying while he was in the field. Mets then nixed the trade over health concerns of Carlos Gomez. Boras reps Gomez and said any report of his client having issues with his hip are 100% false. That was odd to watch. And to hear Terry Collins' press conference was weird. Described how he was told the kid was crying because he was traded but yet Terry had no idea about it.

July 30, 201511 yr At the end of the day, the organizational rankings are all that really matter, but both MLB.com and BaseballAmerica.com had him as the Braves #1 prospect in their July 2015 rankings. Just seems like they gave up a ton for essentially nothing. I agree, just saying I don't think the Braves value him as much as everyone thinks. Regardless, I think they should have gotten more for him.

July 30, 201511 yr A terrible Braves trade, right? Not so fast, my friends | Mark Bradley blog It's still not official as far as I know. With that said, it's still terrible IMO. Maybe Olivera turns out to be a super star, but I still think the Braves should have gotten more in return for their #2 starter and #1 ranked (by many) prospect.
