Well that's interesting, didn't know we even played Highlands this year in the regular season or postseason. I've said that the last four years in the state semifinals that the Bluebirds have owned the series. As far as 7 on 7 it kills me when a team can't handle a loss. If it's not a big deal why in the world would the coaching staff sign them up for the tournament? Accept that they lost and move on. I can assure you that you get way more credit for those playoff wins so why sweat it. LC could've won and been silent and as a competitors FTH would've been upset that they let one slip away.

Did LexCath hold an assembly back at the school after the games today? What I saw today was a "joke" I guess it is a great feat to win a 7 on 7 tourney. Heard LexCath players were jawing in 7 on 7 with a team that they cannot defeat when "real" football is being played. Come on coach.

 

Are you really going to act like Highlands was silent and didn't start it or say anything. I was on the field on the sidelines for the game. Man please. You're just upset that they got beat while running their mouths. Get used to that because everyone is tired of the arrogant attitude and cant wait to hit Highlands in the mouth. Welcome back to the local schedule, we all have been waiting. Oh and they jawing started right after the Bluebirds started getting a little rough in two hand touch because they were losing. Typical Highlands stuff. You guys always claim to be saints while getting all the cheap-shots in you can. Everyone knows it, for some reason no-one ever calls them out on it. I spoke to a lot of the kids from Lex Cath in between games and they were very respectful kids. Their coach did get on them about the extra noise, so it has was addressed. Lex Cath was not the only team to beat Highlands either. You really should be addressing Highlands complicity in the matter instead of the other teams. Take a little responsibility for Highlands actions.

Hahaha! Waiting for what? For Highlands to fall all the way back to the "pack" so NKY teams can compete. That's awesome. Ryle should be on Highlands schedule every single year. And vice versa.

Lineman Challenge:

First Place:Woodford County

Second Place: Highlands

Third Place: Ryle

 

Highlands won three of the five team events: obstacle course, truck push, and sled push. Ryle won the boulder race. Woodford won when it counted - tug of war.

This was a great event. The players seemed to have a great time and got along with each other a lot better than the guys that are posting on this thread.

Everyone knows what?? The locals haven't played us in years and and the teams we do play have NEVER mentioned anything you are alluding to over all the years the nky 6a wouldn't play them. So what does everyone know? You couldn't know! No one from up here does cause no one would play them!!! Cov Cath would know, but they don't ever seem to mention it.

 

And be careful who you talk about punching in the mouth. Because even if you believe what some are saying, even in a down year the birds tend to punch back. It's never the first blow that wins the fight. It's the last! I'm sure the Birds are just as eager to get back to playing kids they grow up with. You don't think that will motivate them?

 

Should be a fun season! 6a is licking their chops now. I get it! A win over HHS confirms that program is back on the right track. It will be interesting to see sho is licking their wounds afterwards.

Really dude???? I am sure you were a chirper today as well. I was also there and heard all the noise. Enjoy the comments because it makes great bulletin board fodder. I guess it does get old for people like you that have nothing to play for in November and early December. Cannot wait for the pads to go on either. Enjoy your time in the sun for a 7 on 7 tourney in July. We all know Ryle's UK # 1 fan and the kids will be more than geared up to play a local schedule now that these teams have the you know what to step onto the schedule.
