Agreed you can't do this to US citizens . But I think we need to be more aggressive on the extended student visas with people from the middle east.

Put me in an island with playmates

Would allowing military personal to be armed off of bases on U.S. soil go against the Posse Comitatus Act? If so, how can we change this? As they would be highly regarded targets and need to defend themselves.

 

This may be related, but yesterday at a nearby recruiting office there was a local cruiser sitting across the street facing it, about 75 feet away. About an hour later I passed there again and the cruiser was still there, I guess they were watching the office?

 

I don't care who said or did what in the past, left or right, all sides need to stop complaining and fix it so where these people can be armed at all times on U.S. soil.

 

I just want to know the reasoning for them not be armed on base. I have yet to hear a reason that makes sense to me.

 

I think an exception can be made for the off base rule for the small number of recruiters who obviously would be armed for self defense purposes only.

 

I don't think anyone is calling for then to get police power on U.S. soil. Just that they receive the basic rights as all other citizens and with them being targets the time is now.

 

 

Let us not forget July 4th weekend the FBI warned law enforcement and military personnel they had credible evidence of planned lone wolf attacks against each in the coming future

 

Atleast LE has a fighting chance with a gun , the Military can be on the highest of alerts but if they can't be armed it will only do so much good.

I mentioned that for a reason, and Joe was right on what I was getting at. Just because someone is on a watch list doesn't mean they are dangerous, or even deserve to be on it. Their name could match someone who is dangerous, their name could be somewhat similar, they could have a close or distant relative that they need to watch out for or who is/was dangerous. If you have a relative that is dangerous, why should that automatically mean that you have to be deported?

 

And as Joe mentioned, certain comments about the government and such things will get one on the list. People throw things out there on social media, some think they are "flying under the radar" like they are Dale Gribble and off the grid', But, those are the first people who will be added to the list.
