Agree. 1A competition took off with Mayfield going to 2A. Beechwood's to lose. Case closed.

Remember hearing that when Hazard made the finals one year. There aren't many locks this time of year.

Folks I agree Beechwood is the favorite. But I dont think anyone in 1A is going to roll over and give it to them. They are not your daddy's Beechwood.

 

I have a lot of respect for the program. There isnt a big gap between them a lot of the teams in 1A.

I agree Coach B. I don't expect this Beechwood team to be as good as last year's. I hope they prove me wrong but it is tough to replace your line on both sides of the ball. The gap is close among the top 6 or 7 teams.

I'm really liking Raceland's shot at a state title appearance. Only kickstand I see may be Pikeville and possibly Paintsville. Other than that, I don't see anyone really stopping the Rams on the east side of the bracket. Hazard may shock people but I just don't see them getting past Pikeville.

I see Paintsville as the biggest challenge. A D1 athlete like Daniel along with a strong returning group makes them the team Raceland should be wary of. Thoughts?

I agree. Paintsville returns, I believe, their whole front line as well. Paintsville will be a very big challenge for the Rams. What I will be looking for is their play in the third and fourth quarters. I see Paintsville taking a halftime lead but giving it up in the second half. Raceland will be in better shape. I can almost guarantee that. But the only thing no one can predict is the injuries. Will there be injuries prior to the game...? I guess we will find out. It will be a great game. No doubt. And a great second game barring a playoff run for both teams.

Fort Knox asked to move down and it was granted. It will be back to 32 soon as South Floyd is merging with Allen Central in the fall of 2017.

Based on what? that is a crazy statement and I don't see how you can make such as being factual, JMO though!

Excited to see him play the QB position this year. I believe he is going to play outside linebacker as well.
