That is how Raceland wins their games. That's how it has always been. That's why Raceland beats larger schools suck as Ashland, Greenup, Boud, Ironton, etc. they are in better shape. Raceland will be in better shape than Paintsville. It's how Raceland football works.

Campbellsville has more talent than they have had since Chappell was the Head Coach in 09. Dale Estes former Eagle is Head Coach now. However, if passing league is an indication to the Eagle success then they might not be able to beat physical teams. Glasgow in week 1 will be a huge test. This district schedule should be the weakest in Eagle Nation History.

Bottom line will be defense and the QB play for the RAMS. The defense will be solid again despite a few losses. If the QB play is solid, the RAMS will be tough to beat.

I'll let him clarify but I believe he may have been saying they have success in 7 on 7 games but are unable to get the job done being physical on Friday nights. That's what I got from it anyways. Whether he meant that or not, I dont know, we will have to let OF clarify.

What I got from it was he was saying that they didn't play physical at all in 7 on 7.

 

 

While it may be 7 on 7 and it is touch, there is still some physicality to it. I mean it's still football after all

I watched them play at CU and for the number of kids they had I thought they went toe to toe with those teams. Just got wore down playing those schools that platoon. Cville is very fast on both sides of the ball. They will make some noise this season. Not to mention that new district is awful.

What I'm looking forward to is to see how Beechwood, Frankfort or Russellville will match up with winner of the east. The last 6 years that Mayfield has represented the west, all I've heard is how Beechwood, Russellville or Frankfort was better than the team played in the championship. Well, now, these teams will get that shot to put up or shut up.. Personally, I think there was a couple of years that Beechwood was the next best team, but, imo, the other 4 years they weren't.

2010 - Mayfield - West

2011 - Hazard - East

2012 - Mayfield - West

2013 - Mayfield - West

2014 - Mayfield - West

 

Six of the eight champions have been from the west. Yes, 4 of those were Mayfield. There has been plenty of speculation about who was the second best in most of the years. Heck we had even more speculation about whether Hazard was actually the best the year the won it. Everyone has their own opinions, most with a bit of bias. The next 4 years will be interesting to see if the west continues to win the titles.

4 out of those 8 have been blow outs and 4 have been good games.

In last 6 yrs, imo:

 

2009 - LCA was the best team w/o question. Hazard may have been 2nd best. Both from the east.

2010 - Hazard and Beechwood were pretty even that year.

2011 - Hazard won it all, so, I'd have to give then the edge, although Beechwood was very good that year.

2012 - Fairview and Beechwood were pretty even. The game vs Mayfield gave Fairview a black eye that year but they were a great power team all year.

2013 - I think Frankfort would have beaten that Williamsburg team.

2014 - I'd give Williamsburg a slight nod over Beechwood, but, it would have been close.
