I'd ask the following in response: 1) Why would we have worked so hard to help Mexico put him in prison only to assist in getting him out. 2) The drugs didn't stop moving while he was in prison; they kept coming anyway. What is the necessity for the U.S. of busting him out?

July 13, 201511 yr No one hides for that long without help from someone with high level connections. Same reason we couldn't find OBL....the Pakistani's were hiding him. The Mexican government has done the same thing, most likely for $ or to avoid their own muerte.

July 13, 201511 yr To be fair who knows the position the guards were put in. If a drug cartel threatens your life or your wife's or children it does get tricky. Mexico is a little different from here as well. We have customers in Juarez. One of our guys that has to go down there alot said several years ago they were there and there was a news story about a guy who got sideways with one of the cartels. They cut his face off, sewed it to a soccer ball and put it on his families front porch. I'm pretty sure if the cartel asks you to do something you do it.

The US has been trying to extradite him since he was recaptured to no avail...I don't think the US "Assisted" in his escape. I'll guarantee that if he was at ADX Florence in Colorado, he wouldn't have tunneled out.

July 18, 201511 yr Mexico has refused help from the U.S. In locating him. Not exactly shocking... You can love Trump or hate him by I tend to agree with him when he says that Mexico is not our "friend"...
July 18, 201511 yr In an attempt to be fair, as it was mentioned a few times last week about how you can't really hold the guards totally responsible, as if they didn't help him escape, not only would they be killed, but their family members lives would be in danger. So, having said that, possibly the people in their government are under the same pressure? It's one thing if someone threatens your life, but its another thing if they threaten your family. I have said last week, I would not be surprised if this escape was helped by some of the highest people in their government, at least because of the threats to their family. But, we can work around that. We can still hunt him down.

But, we can work around that. We can still hunt him down. That is one of the biggest issues down there...don't have enough single orphans to stand up to the Cartels. Those people are ruthless, I wouldn't want to work in LE or Corrections down there.
