July 13, 201511 yr My mother had Alzheimer disease when she passed away in '96 . She was diagnosed at least 15 years earlier ,and yes she was senile . As one who has witnessed the effects of this insidious disease first hand it seems entirely reasonable to me that President Reagan began to exhibit the debilitating symptoms of Alzheimer years before he died .
