I also heard a few kids that had been in the program for a couple of seasons made the decision to attend a different school this coming year.

They've been welcomed by St. Henry where they were starting last weekend at Bluegrass Games.

How are these kids eligible?

Must not have played varsity.

Must not have played varsity.

Correct, the ones I am aware of had not played any Varsity matches for CCH.

Which is probably why they transferred but who knows.

Is the depth and/or talent at St Henry down this year? If these CCH transfers, that apparently never played a varsity game are now starters for St Henry (at least in the BGSG last weekend), seems to indicate depth and talent is down in Erlanger. Especially if these transfers are current Seniors or Juniors.

This is based on they transferred mainly due to their soccer situation at CCH (lack of varsity roster spot and/or playing time on JV or freshman). Certainly many kids transfer for different reasons and it is not only for sports.

Not sure but I'm guessing they are rising sophomores or juniors but I really don't know if that's the case, they would not have been in the running for varsity slots last year and maybe that's the issue. I'm not all that familiar w/ the talent at St. Henry this year other than Neltner and Stambaugh who are both pretty solid players. I think they lost quite a few seniors so probably a lot of open varsity slots.

SH graduated like 14 seniors this past year. Not sure what they had in the pipeline.

If they are starting CCH transfers that possibly could not crack the varsity roster or saw little playing time last year, apparently they don't have a lot in the pipeline. But one thing for sure the St Henry coach will get the most out of them and have his team playing at it's best come mid October.

The pipeline is just fine. Replacing a large varsity contingent from last years graduating class offers an opportunity that players at others schools may have found attractive. The JV team last year had a respectable winning record, something in the 4-3-7 range. Defense will be tough, offense will take some time to gel. My opinion is they will be taken lightly early in the season due to large number of juniors who didn't see much varsity time last season. First game on schedule after soccerama will give us an indication where we stand and where we need to be. Last years freshman class was very good.

Could be that physical development occurred as well. Maybe they are much improved over where they were last year. I, obviously don't know, but Sophomores going into Junior year are right at a prime time of development.

They have 3 or 4 that play on KHA Red teams. Just a matter of filling around those players.

If interested, pics of the new turf at CCH are posted under the football thread titled CCH 2015......page 5 and 6

Old f...t.. My Team across the River lost to Mason... This team is hungry to beat CCH.. Last couple of matches resulted in ties. Headed to NYC.. Playing the #1 team in the country. Look forward to seeing you in the stadium.
