I can't wait til a player just finally says " you know what?, I played the game of chance and my number came up. It is what it is. I'm not sorry, I'm simply trying to maintain an edge". I would applaud that.

If Gates played baseball, he would have no chance at the HOF for this. He would be villified by the media. Since he plays football, the only people who are mad are the ones who have him in a keeper league.

Baseball players get crucified for this and football players come back without hardly any fallback.

July 4, 201511 yr 236 players have been suspended for some type of PED or substance abuse since 1983...list I saw didn't break it out but the vast majority appear to be for PEDs.

No. Not equal but I think people sometimes minimize the grind of a 162 game schedule on a BB player's body. Obviously, baseball is not anywhere near as tough on the body as football, basketball or hockey, but it is still a LONG season. Playing on grass now does make it better for the players than playing on the concrete...I mean astroturf...in the past.
