This is a very interesting point I had not thought of. I wonder how many gay couples will break up over this ruling. Before, they could just live together and not have to think about marriage. Now, what if one partner wants to get married and the other does not (just like with many straight couples)...

 

One girl I know was very stressed out about the ruling for this reason... Her partner has asked about it before, but her excuse was always "We can't get married in KY." Now that's no longer the case. I told her to man (or woman) up and tell her the real reasons she didn't want to get married.

I have, believe it, or not. It was about 15 to 20 years ago. 2 lovely ladies were married in a beautiful ceremony at a hotel. I have not heard from them in about 13 years, but I am sure that they are very happy together.

I have not attended. I would if invited, I know some couples that I definitely would but not if in a church.

I have not, but would like to. Just as I'd love to attend a wedding of people of the Islamic faith, Jewish faith, and of all other diverse cultures. Different cultures and customs fascinate me, and I firmly believe the only way to truly gain an understanding of them is to experience it.

 

I always thought bike riding with a Camelback is weird. I can see the extra need for water though.

Hate that I missed my cousin's last July out in California. She and her partner were joined together after 13 years of being together. My uncle (her father) is a devout Catholic and I am sure has struggled with her lifestyle, but he has always been there in support of my cousin and her spouse. My guess is he privately prays for them but I cannot say for certain as I've never asked since it is not of my business.

I would attend if it were outside or if it were in a church. Why would some refuse to attend if the ceremony were held in a church? If it's okay with the Church, then who are you to say it's inappropriate?
