I am assuming the Board and a financial officer. Therein lies the problem at Fairview. Musick was superseding authority and playing by his own rules and apparently invited some others to his party.

I am great friends with a Fairview board member and that is why I hate it that current Eagles have to endure what has transpired. I truly think that Fairview can rise up from this and be better.

I have a message for all of the Fairview fans on here. PLEASE STOP ! Listen, 99% of what these Raceland fans are posting on here is Right for God's Sake. #2 , you keep digging us (Fairview fans) in deeper with your denials ! Captain, I can understand you wanting to try to make it sound better and all but why are you calling out anyone from Raceland or anywhere else ? I mean hell, Fairview is guilty ! Yes, Musik was a main player but to put everything that has been going on for years out here on one man is a joke. I posted what things that I knew were going on out here around two or three years ago because I was sick of it. I remember asking one very simple question on a Fairview pre season thread " Has Fairview brought in any more out of state players" and every fan on here immediately started denials, trashing me, telling me that if I had a complaint or question to take it to the coach or supervision. After the truth came out they were the very ones doing the illegal and /or unethical crap ! That is now proven was just the tip of the iceberg and you guys are still calling people out and denying ? That takes a pair and by the way captain langer , doc 2 we had an article in the paper back when the first accusations were out and Bill Musik ADMITTED players living in house / houses that he owned for rentals. Dare I say that IF there was rent/utilities paid then don't you thnk that it was very littke if anything ? Again .... WHY are you guys trying to discredit others ? Hell, we are guilty ! Every time you post you are looking more and more ridiculous.

O.K., Even though I haven't been in denial, I will say it. ATTN: Raceland Fans, a couple of Ashland folks and other fans. All of You (Ram, oldrambler, little ram and others WERE RIGHT. Fairview was / is guilty of practically everything that was said and even if there was something off I sure wouldn't try to trash or call out anyone with what all has happened here.

I Can however acknowledge that Fairview football, school system were in the wrong. Most people here know it and are embarrassed by it. I am sorry that we have a few that are still trying to make it sound not so. I hope that Fairview can rebuild it's name and some of the people out here would set more goals than living to beat Raceland in football and concentrate on the education first. I know I have made the ones on here upset with this but someone had to say it, now you people can take it wherever you want. Geez, what a mess !

A ineligible young man from Ashland played and cost the team wins and post season play. The Audit reports points to Musick mismanaging some money. They should prosecute Musick if he broke any laws. All the claims and in the end~ The emporer has no clothes.

I do t know what your problem is but you need to move on yourself. And just a little piece of advice: I wouldn't call Fairview a "winning" program. I'd say they're middle of the pack. But hey, that's just me. You're making a bad picture for yourself.

Is the new Boyd county high school, and Ashland high school big enough that they could take in the kids if split?

 

Both are large enough, but as oldrambler said, the kids would all fall into Boyd's district. Ashland will accept out of district kids when they have room, which they do. However you do have to pay tuition and have your own transportation.

Actually little Ram the 2012 Fairview team went 14-1 and that was an accomplishment that I can't remember any Raceland team ever accomplishing. How was your trip to Western KY? That is why the school was flooded with new kids in 2013, and the main reason for all the current situation. The school was moving to the elite status before getting the state axe. People like Mad got angry when their little eagle had to ride the pine. Accusations flew and anger amassed. The state was looking for revenge and got it. It's not complicated.

 

If you would like to take a stroll down memory lane, you guys have distorted the facts for a few years. All the state findings and KHSAA investigation does not come close to the crap spewed by you and your comrades. Not one of you jokers can provide anything more than "rumors" to the majority of your accusations.

The 2012 Fairview football team went 0-15. But my incompetence and your immaturity just don't go hand and hand. It doesn't matter what you say about whatever Fairview went, did, or was—in my eyes, they did it incorrectly and it never happened. Fairview screwed up. Now they must pay for it.

 

Also, mad Eagles kid started three years. Sorry honey.

Point of clarification: The KHSAA did rule several players ineligible due to recruiting activity. Fairview filed for, and was granted, a court injunction to allow those players to continue to play. Fairview responded to the KHSAA by saying "The KHSAA did not have the authority to sanction them". The following year, one player was found to be ineligible due to improper enrollment.

 

I contend that the harshness of the punishment was not only for the one player playing while ineligible, but also for the previous year's findings and specifically the response that Fairview sent the KHSAA.

Honestly in the grand scheme of things who gives a flip. Obviously you guys do and eats at you especially the very few ram and eagle posters on this site. Nobody honestly cares outside of this area, when I read the article and audit I read it as hey get new rules implemented and don't do this again. To be honest person that got worse in of the deal is the guy that had the least amount to do with it. Garry McPeek got offered 3 great jobs right in a row and Musick retires moves to Florida. Nate McPeek is young and will recover I'm sure but at the end of the day he gives up more than anyone else. Let's move on people and may all parties involved be well.

Looks like Musick has been the problem the entire time, football is expensive anyway. If I'm not mistaken fairview dressed over 70 players mcpeeks last 2 years and in 2012 they played 15 games. I hope Musick gets what he deserves but I don't see legal action. People like Musick always get the breaks.

 

Yea, that's also the year they spent $180,000 on the football program, while only reporting $27,000 to the state. I know it costs a lot of money to run a high school football program, but $180,000, are you kidding me? Especially when the school was falling apart.
