Let's all take a stroll down memory lane when everything was so important. Except, I'd rather lose doing the right thing instead of cheating and winning. And yeah, I'll say I lost 3 of the 4. We didn't show up ready to play. Unfortunately, for Fairview, they have nothing to prove of it. I have a regional championship and Fairview still has zero. That's just the facts. I'll take the big boy route and play good boy. Raceland has 19 district championships, 2 regional championships, and 2 state semifinal runners up. Fairview has what? 7 districts, 0 regional championships, 0 state semi final appearances. That's the facts. I don't care about Fairview until the week we play them. When we play them, all focus to them, kick your butts, play the next game. That's how it is. But if you want to think more than what you think have at it. I know Raceland is a big game on fairviews schedule and people talk trash on social media, but come on. RACELAND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT FAIRVIEW. Personally, I think Raceland wants Fairview to stay open, so there's still a rivalry. I want Fairview to stay open. So we continue what has been. I don't care about Fairview, if you think I do, sorry bud. I play at Georgetown, for the 24th winningest coach in NAIA history. Talk about what you want: youth, losses, etc. I did something at Raceland that had never been done before, at the time. I'm glad I accomplished what I did. I'm not on here 24/7. I'm on here to enjoy talking football. I love football. I love the Raceland/Fairview rivalry. I love football. My son will play for Raceland. He will play Fairview. He will win. He will be an athlete. But one thing he won't be is a loser, cheater, or wrong-doer. At all. I can tell you this, I don't care what you say, I lost 3 of 4, but I won a district title, a regional title, and made a semi final appearance. I lived what others, since 1928, didn't get. I am blessed and glad of what I accomplished. I spent time in the weight room, since 7th grade, spent time at speed camp in ironton, and spent time in fitness world working my butt off for the benefit of myself and my team. I dont know what Fairview did. I'm sure they did those things, but not in the right way—according to the reports. I did it right and I did what I need to do for the vendor for the team and my coach, TJ Maynard.

 

Talk all you want. It won't justify what you did improperly. I don't care what happened. I went to RACELAND. Not Fairview. I am a Ram at half heart and a Tiger the other half. Talk have a good talk.

Captain L ... I am not to justify your questions, not getting into a pm contest with you or anyone else but trust me I know much more than you think I do. Specific names of the players I don't know or the exact property addresses I may or may not and if I did I wouldn't post them do to privacy reasons. I think that if you are close to the Fairview Schools that you pretty much know the answers. As in just about every thread on any subject the conversation drifts into other areas.

I don't know if you were talking about me on the Fairview-Boyd Co. scenario but I DID NOT Say that Fairview would be put in another system, I said I thought it may be a possibility and gave an example of Greenup Co. having the state come in and run the school administration for a specified period of time. Since obvious problems, mis management and other indications from the report I "thought" that it may be possible for either the state to oversee / run the school for a while or be put in with BC. I don't know and I plainly said I didn't.

I can tell you that as plenty of others on here (and not all Raceland) have said.... the Fairview school system is a mess. I honestly hope for the sake of your kids in the community that all of the obvious / seemingly intentional wrong doings by administration there can get straightened out.

Also, for whatever it's worth Little Ram can speak for himself but I will say that his post were correct.

Well if that's what you believe, I guess you're right. Regardless of what I say, you won't change what you say so I don't really care. However, I have never taken those losses to heart because Fairview isn't worth my time io worry about. Fairview is concentrated on once a year in Raceland, not every day—as you presume. Sure, I hated Fairview between the white lines for 48 minutes, but after the game, I watched film, learned from what I did wrong, and moved on. Unfortunately I lost 3 of 4. Yep. And I don't care that I did because I can hold my head high and walk off that field with gratitude because.....

The misappropriation of taxpayer money is a pretty serious crime.

Guys..you know Fairveiw is building a addition on the school as we speak right?Why do grown men get on here and wish for a school to be shut down?I don't wish that for nobody.For all the people that went there in the past and the kids going there now...why do you guys wish this in them?Raceland is a small school just like Fairveiw and if the state can come in and shut them down it can happen in Ramland to.As far as "what's going to happen" at Fairveiw I say nothing.It will cost the state more money than they want to spend to enforce anything they will put on the school at this point.I say go after the adults that caused these problems.Hell put them in jail if we can.But to punish kids that had nothing to do with it seems crazy to me.As a Raceland fan why would you want your biggest rival gone????

I'm not proposing Fairview get closed down, but the problem for them is "money". I think if they do have to shut the doors, it is because of a lack of funds, not anything the state does. I seriously doubt the state would have anything to do with closing a school.

 

And, for discussion's sake, if the last tax hike wasn't passed (after three tries), I would say the school would already be bankrupt.

I think it is a little more than mismanaged money but as I have said the past several posts, this is about people no longer in the program. I still loath Fairview but in the responsible district rival way I hope the school rebounds from this and the black eye heals soon. As I have said before, I treat kids from all over the area and I love them all. I hope the Fairview kids respond favorably to this adversity and make all of Westwood proud.

Two years ago the renovated their hvac in the high school.Half the new A/C they put in they are taking out.If tax payers knew where their money went their heads would explode.Haha
