Bracken County 2015/2016

Featured Replies

Here's the current movie theme playing "on top of the hill" : Bracken County has sent teams to the Kentucky Sweet 16 four times:1955, 1944, 1940, and 1939. But, it was the 1938-1939 (insert 2015-2016) team that went on to win it all.

The 1938-1939 Brooksville team was led by head coach Herman Hale currently played by (Jason Hinson) and hot-shooting Warren Cooper played by (Austin Crawford). We'll have to wait until the movie comes out to see how it ends.......

While making comparisons, Hinson is used to coaching this type of team:

Bach = Crawford - Main Scorer

Crawford, Maddox, Snapp = Jones, Engnes/Williams, Hamilton - Big Three role players

It's about as laughable as some of the things Bracken fans post on social media.

Got it wrong. Come on dude lighten up, just a little metaphoric fun. I'm happy Mr. Hinson is home where he wants to be and that the BC faithful are energized. Augusta figured out a while ago that success meant beating Mason County, they're the guys you have to go through if you want to have success in the District & Region.

Didn't meant to come off the wrong way. I was just saying the back and forth banter between the two fan bases can at times be very entertaining to read. With the history over the past few years and Hinson going back to Bracken I predict that the banter will get more intense and the games will be good ones to watch. Personally I enjoy it. It's like UK an UofL but on a All A stage. :thumb:

I am glad to see old school education on this site. Most people today wouldn't know what a metaphor is, let alone be able to utilize it.

Kinda getting the cart before the horse a little here. Both teams have new coaches next season. As for the threads intent i see Bracken being very competitive next year and if they get everything clicking they can make a run at the All A region and the district. Same case can be made for Augusta. But Hinson does have a knack fot getting everything out of his players no matter how athletitic they are. All his players work hard and give 110%. As seen in his Panther teams while he was at the helm there.

We need to get the Augusta people to teach us how to act: they have George Clooney, basketball players flopping..

If Bracken County was ever to make some noise these next 2 seasons will be it. Curious to see how this team develops.

I have been hearing about some off-season acquisitions.. I've heard of 3

I believe half of the 10th has heard the rumors...as June will go

Those rumors haven't made it to Mayberry yet, so what have you heard.

Not going to argue that statement. Lots of talking in June/July. Most of the time that's all it is.

With that said from what I am hearing from my friends in Brooksville there will be some interesting names thrown around in the near future. And some old faces in new places in the 2015/2016 season.

And it's a huge IF I know but if those names land in Brooksville they will be in the talk for not only the all A and the 39th, but the region as well. Write it down.

Out of the three I've heard one is almost a done deal one is getting close and the third is highly doubtful but as meatloaf said "don't be sad cause 2 outta 3 ain't bad" :thumb:
