June 23, 201511 yr I travel the Double A(Hwy 9) every single day at the Northern end of it(Bracken,Campbell,Mason, etc.) and always notice daily the amount of West Virginia license plates. I'll count a dozen or so daily(more than Ohio). Is there a reason for this that I am not aware of? I get that there would be lots of WVA plates around the Ashland/Portsmouth end of the AA, but at the 275 exit either getting off there or coming onto the AA? Do that many West Virginians work that distance away? Are they running drugs? Just very odd.
June 23, 201511 yr If you were from WV, wouldn't you want to get as far away as possible too??? :lol2:
June 23, 201511 yr It's about the same amount of time, but less mileage, to drive from Charleston to Cincinnati by getting on the AA at Ashland and taking the straight shot up to Alexandria as it is to drive from Charleston to Lexington on I-64, and then to cut up north on I-75.
June 23, 201511 yr Probably going to Kings Island. I doubt it has much, if anything to do with drugs. Most of the drugs in the Huntington/Charleston areas come from Detroit.

I understand that, but why are they going to Cincinnati? It's every day, at any time of the day. Actually noticed it the same or more in the winter, so it can't be the Kings Island theory

Actually noticed it the same or more in the winter, so it can't be the Kings Island theory Why would that rule out Kings Island? A lot of people spend the night before in the hotels so they can get up and go to the park early. There is also Great Wolf Lodge for the winter.
June 24, 201511 yr I used to go to Huntington and Hurricane a lot for awhile, It is a little shorter going the AA Vs going the interstate through Lexington, plus it's more enjoyable. I'd say Kings Islands, Great Wolf, Reds, the Levee, as well as those going other places and would like to shave off a little time on their travels.
