June 22, 201511 yr I'm going to read some cliff notes and rthen watch again. Too much shine and bourbon to follow tonight. I'm loving Colin Farrell.
June 22, 201511 yr I thought it was great. Colin Farrell is going to be fun to watch. Rachel McAdams is smoking hot.
June 22, 201511 yr I watched the premiere and ended up getting an HBO/Cinemax script again(3 months free) along with another free season of NFL Sunday Ticket, 15 bucks/month off for a year and 5 bucks/month off for 6 months(tip of the cap to HB20!!!!). I loved this episode more and more as each minute passed. I have HBO Now and plan to watch season 1 of True Detective. Is this season a new cast of characters? Do I need to watch season 1 immediately to understand all of season 2?

Do I need to watch season 1 immediately to understand all of season 2? Brand new characters and completely separate story line including location. That's what HBO has planned moving forward as well. Which means they could have a long running story line that could even intertwine previous characters from other seasons. It's a pretty neat set up.

June 22, 201511 yr Brother got me the first season on DVD for Christmas and I really enjoyed it. Don't have HBO, so I'm sure I'll catch this down the line sometime.
June 22, 201511 yr Watched last night, but got rid of my HBO after Game of Thrones ended, so I'll have to find a different way to catch it. Really enjoyed it, and Rachel McAdams is just ridiculous. My goodness. :woot:

They're giving me a hard time with Sunday ticket this year...lol As for season 1, I'd watch it because it's awesome. But...this is a completely different story with completely new characters. Not connected at all

They're giving me a hard time with Sunday ticket this year...lol As for season 1, I'd watch it because it's awesome. But...this is a completely different story with completely new characters. Not connected at all I called and asked for it. My contract was up in September and I asked them what kind of deals they had going on that I could benefit from as a loyal Directv customer. I didn't have to threaten anything at all this time. It was surreal. :lol2:

I guess I got the right person at the right time. They offered it to me right after the 15/month and 5/month. I was like.....okay.....that sounds pretty good. What kind of deals do you have with HBO right now. :lol2: They were great to me.
