Yes! One that has an agency charged with protecting children!

And for the record, this whole thing is ludicrous.

Because in most areas if there is any kind of domestic call that involves children CPS have to be called. If the police don't call them they get in trouble. CPS were likely also the ones that decided that the parents were negligent and pressed charges.

 

I can't speak about most areas but I can about KY. The police don't have to call CPS. If they feel CPS needs to come out to the call, otherwise they will send a report to CPS later and that is only if they feel like it's something CPS needs to look at.

 

The article said when the parents arrived home they were arrested. If that were in KY it would be the police that made that call. In KY CPS don't decide to charge people with anything. They have findings from an investigation or in court. It's up to the police to file the charges and make the arrest.

I got locked out once when I was about that age, just sat on the porch watching traffic...my neighbor saw me and called me over and gave me Iced Tea and Red Velvet Cake.
