Strong showing.

First time in a long time the talent levels have been about even. KY needs to pull off a win in Indy to break the streak...

First time in a long time that Kentucky was ready to sweep the series...and they were forced to play with a split squad.

Are we pretending Indiana had all their players???

I don't even care what Indiana has if you want me to be honest :lol2:

Raymond Brooks, Spalding’ father, said his son started summer classes this week and didn’t want to fall behind academically or with individual basketball workouts.

“He just didn’t want to get set apart from all the other guys on the team right now,” Brooks said. “They’re like brothers to him now.”

Brooks said Spalding would be available to join the All-Stars in Indianapolis on Saturday.

“We’re trying to get in touch with the coaches to see if he could go play or just sit on the end of the bench and cheer on the team,” Brooks said.

I don't see how this series continues. This game means nothing to the kids or fans. When Mr. Basketball no longer plays and your top big man skips it shows they have moved on from the high school game. Jason Frakes tweeted a crowd of 785. How can any charity make any profit off this game. We have now lost 13 straight. I was a small part of this game in the early 90's and the crowd at Freedom Hall was close to 10,000 and at Indiana was 17,000. The community embraced this game and it had plenty of sponsors. Now I didn't even realize the game was tonight. I have seen no advertisement on this game at all. Sad but its no longer a big deal to kids.

It needs to be in the Spring.

I won't argue with the crowd size, but both teams wanted to win. A lot of emotion from both sides throughout.

No Simmons?

12 mins, 1 pt, 4 rbs, 0-1 FG, 1-4 FT

The Kentucky squad looked much better in the second half with Bolden starting and getting the majority of the minutes at the 1/2. Him only playing 4 minutes the first half because of foul trouble really hurt KY because they had no true point guard to not only score but also distribute the ball and penetrate Indiana's zone.

Tempo really picked up the 2nd half with Bolden on the floor.

If I'm the KY coach, I'm going with the following lineup tomorrow night and making sure each plays atleast 25 minutes, if I want to win:

Bolden

Perry

Sutton

Hall

Holman
