Congrats to Scott! They'll play Knott County June 2nd at 8:30

Scott only returned two starters from last years Regional Championship team...Trame and Ohmer. And they only lose 3 starters next year..catcher Brenton Hughes, outfielder Eli Sowder and DH Ryan Seeney.

Soccer - State Finals Runner-Up

Volleyball - State Final Four

Baseball - State ???

Pretty good year for athletics at Scott.

Congrats to the Eagles. As I said before a very very well coached team. Best of luck!!

Congrats to Jeff Trame and the Scott Eagles!!!

Walked through the minefield and survived.

Go Getum at State!!!

Great way for Ken Mueller to go out as A.D.!!!

Forgot to mention a 4th senior starter, Noah Back. Only losing 3 position players from this years team is what I should have said

Sounded like Mann controlled Harrison's batters until the 7th, when Ohmer had to come in and close the deal.

Thorobreds have nothing to hang their heads about. Another solid season in Cynthiana.

He gave up 1 hit (maybe two) and then had trouble with walks. The strike zone for some reason got really tight, quite a bit different from what was being called the first part of the game. there were also two absolutely terrible calls at first, and the umpiring in general for the tourney was inconsistent at best.

Congrats to Scott (scrappers) Eagles on a great venture through the 10th region. Love that they have so many multi-sport guys on the team. Another thread noted they only had three players that were not multi-sport. Maybe speaks to why they were slow out of the gate in early season and came on strong when it counts. Did not see the game, but in the tension filled last two innings I could see why fans would be more critical of umps calls. These guys are doing their best and in their opinion did not shrink the strike zone even fractionally. Instant replay in the majors continually amazes me as to how many bam-bam plays are called correctly. A 90 foot vantage point can be very deceptive.

Good Eagles!!!

Congrats to Scott High on the championship. Nice season for Coach Whitaker and the Thorobreds. 2015 not the typical Thorobred squad with too many errors, walks and hit batters. When have you ever seen a Coach Whitaker team make 11 errors in 3 games of the regional? Reaching the 10th Region finals was quite an accomplishment.

HC did make some very nice plays in the game as well though, and Scott could have easily tacked a couple more runs on...the shortstop made an especially nice play deep in the whole that saved at least one run in the 3rd inning. It seems like HC has struggled defensively the last few years, but just didn't have the offense or dominant pitcher or two that they normally have. However, if I'm not mistaken, HC is pretty young, so they will certainly be back and tougher next year as these guys get older. I'd say there is a good chance we'll see these two teams in the Regional Final next year.
