It always gets me how people claim their team is much better than another after winning a baseball game. Does anyone think NCC would run rule Dixie again if they played tonight? I doubt even the stoutest NCC fan would expect that. Anything can happen in a baseball game. If both teams have solid pitchers going, anything can happen.

 

A win in baseball proves you were better that day and not much else.

 

I don't think I said anyone was much better. Based on what I saw yesterday, I think that Ryle and Boone are better than Beechwood and Cov Cath. I mentioned in a thread before the Districts even started that I thought that the 33rd District was better than people were giving them credit for on here. I think Highlands is probably the deepest team and maybe the best but I am not saying that Boone and Ryle are better after the fact. I said that they would be a factor before the regional.

I was thinking along those lines as well, but when was the last time that Martin pitched for HHS this year? I would assume they could also use Noe and/or Bunning for a few innings as well tonight. Would expect Jones to be on the hill tomorrow for sure, if they make it past the Rebels.

Update of the highlands game please

Birds rallying with no outs in 6th. Whitford reached on error by 3rd baseman Debo Mills singled (Jake Noe PR for Mills) Whitford scored on a single by Kenny "Cornrows" Ball. Noe moves to 3rd and scores on Sac Fly by Luke Hennigan. Now 4-2 Birds.

4-2 Birds in the 6th.

Now that's a move I like! Worry about the next game once you get there!
